Hello,
I'm Tianchen Feng
an Industrial designer
Could you tell me about your
educational path and how it prepared you for a career in industrial design?
Of course, I completed both my
Bachelor's and Master's degrees
at the
Savannah College of Art and Design.
Throughout those years of study, I gained all the knowledge required to become a qualified industrial designer, which has greatly aided my professional success.
Could you share some details about your relevant work experience?
I had the opportunity to participate in a program called 'SCAD Pro' during my time at the university.
And as an industrial designer, I have collaborated on projects with
Mayo Clinic
and Trident Group.
Could you share more details about the specific responsibilities you had in those projects?
My responsibilities covered a wide range of tasks, including extensive initial research
and
concept sketching,
3D modeling and rendering,
product prototyping,
brand development,
feasibility studies for manufacturing,
and more.
Great, since we're discussing responsibilities, could you share what
design software
you are proficient with?
Could you share what drew you to and made you passionate about the field of
industrial design?
From a young age, I had a lot of unusual ideas for solving problems. When I learned about industrial design before going to college, I was excited because it was exactly what I wanted to do. The reason I'm passionate about industrial design is that it allows me to use my own ideas to solve problems in people's lives, emotionally, at work, and address societal issues through design. Even though some of these things may seem small, constantly improving the world is what I've always wanted to do. So I design to create a better world.
